A new digital exhibition in Shanghai titled Immersive Exhibition of Ancient Shu takes visitors back more than 3,000 years and immerses them in the life and rituals of the ancient state of Shu in southwestern China.
The exhibition is taking place at Meet You Museum in Shanghai from August 3 to Dec 6.
The Sanxingdui Ruins in Guanghan of Sichuan province is widely recognized as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the world. Believed to be created by the state of Shu, the site is the biggest prehistoric city ruins on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
The exhibition is divided in four sections. The first three sections feature the historical findings of the Sanxingdui Ruins, trace the origins of the ancient state of Shu and highlight rituals and life scenes. The final section spans 1,000 square meters and presents the ancient civilization via new audio-visual technologies.
