Medical device industrial park opens in Hongqiao

The Hongqiao International Innovative Medical Device Industrial Park was recently put into use. It is located on Jinyuanyi Road in Jiangqiao town of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District.

It is designed to offer one-stop services for innovative medical device enterprises, including technology evaluation, joint research on key common technologies, and outcome assessment and commercialization. 

It has a floor area of about 70,000 square meters and is currently home to 13 medical device enterprises, including Shanghai Kindly Medical Instruments Co. Their research and development focuses are cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, orthopedic, neurological, urological, medical aesthetics, and non-invasive hypertension treatment. 

A relatively complete medical device industrial chain is taking shape, covering the entire process from mold design and manufacturing, product development, and equipment development to precision extrusion, injection molding, and sterilization.

The industrial park aims to boost the rapid growth of start-ups and creates a platform for the transformation and incubation of innovative medical devices by providing enterprises operating in the park with technical R&D support, purification factories, public experimental platforms, public sterilization platforms, animal testing platforms, industry resources, CRO registration resources, and more.

In recent years, Jiangqiao town has been continuously optimizing its industrial structure and efficiently promoting the construction of key projects in health and medical treatment, new materials, digital trade and services, automobile design and R&D, fashion creativity, and tourism.
