Dongjian Digital Energy Group, a company that specializes in the digitalization of sustainable energy, has set up a new subsidiary in the Minhang Area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District.
The subsidiary will focus on the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of key materials for sodium-ion batteries.
The group relocated its headquarters to the Hongqiao CBD in early July with the aim of working with local governments, industrial investment institutions, as well as upstream and downstream companies to build a new-energy industrial cluster in the Hongqiao CBD, according to Cao Dongqiang, chairman of the group.
The company will leverage its advantages in the supply chain to expand the imports and exports of bulk commodities, cooperate with universities to set up overseas laboratories and production bases, and expand the energy storage market in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region, Cao added.
Dongjian Group will also undertake a series of industrial projects related to perovskite solar cells, hydrogen energy, sodium-ion battery stations to create a new-energy industry cluster in Hongqiao.
