Zhangye Middle School

Zhangye Middle School was founded in 1917 and listed as a key provincial-level middle school in 1962 and 1977 respectively. The school and Yucai Middle School were merged to establish a new middle school, entitled "Zhangye Middle School," in June 2001. Gansu Department of Education confirmed the school as a provincial-level demonstration middle school in 2004 and a provincial-level prestigious school in November 2021.

A new campus of Zhangye Middle School was put into use in July 2018. The new campus covers an area of 266,668 square meters (400mu), boasts a floor area of over 120,000 square meters and has a total of 17 independent buildings. The campus has been installed with a standard running track, canteen, sports center, education network services, multi-media classrooms, digital laboratory and other advanced facilities to meet the diverse demand of faculty members and students in their work, learning and living.

Zhangye Middle School has 355 staff workers, including 141 teachers with senior vocational ranks and above, 146 first-class teachers, 78 teachers with master's degrees and 85 leading teachers at municipal level and above.

Zhangye Middle School has fostered a large number of talents for the country and received dozens of awards and titled at municipal level and above, which include National Leading Education Unit, National Leading Grassroots Party Organization and National Special Football Campus, in recognition of its achievements in all aspects since 1917.
