Four companies based in East China's Shandong province have made them to this year's Fortune Global 500 list, which was unveiled on Aug 2.
The four companies are Shandong Energy Group, Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, Haier Smart Home and Shandong Hi-speed Group.
Shandong Energy Group was ranked 72nd with its revenue of $124.09 billion. The company has been ranked among the top 100 of the Fortune Global 500 for two consecutive years.
One of the main reasons behind this is the company's efforts to optimize the value chain and adopt green and low-carbon strategies.
