The 11th Straits Youth Day, an annual youth exchange event across the Taiwan Strait, is currently being held in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province, with main activities taking place from Aug 5 to 13.
This year's Straits Youth Day, co-hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the All-China Youth Federation and the government of Fujian province, includes activities involving Chinese traditions, rural vitalization, environmental protection, youth employment and more.
From Aug 5 to 13, about 3,000 young people from the two side of the Strait, including over 800 from Taiwan, are expected to partake in the activities to learn from each other and forge stronger bonds.
The event's summit will be held on Aug 10 and feature interactions between young people from both sides of the Strait, who will talk about their experiences and expectations on the Chinese mainland.
