A delegation of over 400 guests – including representatives from the top 10 global dairy companies, the top 20 domestic dairy companies, as well as academics and experts – recently visited the state-of-the-art Yili Future Intelligence and Health Valley in North China.
The only designated observation site for the World Dairy Industry Conference – the facility, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – was constructed by dairy giant the Yili Group, which is based in the region's capital of Hohhot.
The visitors immersed themselves in getting firsthand knowledge of the leading achievements of China's dairy industry in technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing and green and sustainable development.
A key project of Inner Mongolia's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the Yili Future Intelligence and Health Valley has – since its inception in 2019 – focused on building an industrial cluster with an annual output value of over 100 billion yuan ($14 billion), centered around the dairy sector.
By driving the advanced overall supply chain development of the industry, empowering the smart city with digital technology – and leading the integration of production and city through green initiatives – it is widely said to have created numerous global dairy benchmarks and attracted top resources from around the world.
