Jinan Library, National Library of Belarus form sister-library ties

A signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between the Jinan Library and the National Library of Belarus to establish sister-library ties was recently held online.

According to the agreement, both parties will engage in close exchanges and extensive collaboration in library collection development, talent cultivation, academic research, reading promotion, and service expansion.

Yan Xianfeng, deputy director of the Jinan bureau of culture and tourism, said that the National Library of Belarus and the Jinan Library, as the main venues for providing public cultural services for the people in both countries and regions, have made efforts and achieved outstanding contributions in promoting nationwide reading, books collection and preservation, and excellent national culture, as well as regional exchanges with foreign countries.

Representatives from both libraries also introduced the libraries and showcased part of their precious collections to each other at the signing ceremony.
