Guiyang Customs in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has recently launched 24 measures to optimize the city's business environment.
The measures involve the construction of open platforms, establishment of smooth cross-border channels, facilitation of cross-border trade, development of emerging industries, and nurturing main entities engaged in foreign trade. These measures aim to support the high-quality development of an open economy in Guizhou.
To promote the construction of open platforms, Guiyang Customs will participate in the development of the Guizhou inland open economy pilot zone, support the differentiated development of free trade zones in Guiyang City, Guian New Area, and Zunyi city, upgrade the functions of the Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, and enhance the operation of the Guiyang International Land Port.
Guiyang Customs will also explore the expansion of rapid clearance for Guizhou-Guangdong railway-sea intermodal transportation. It will ensure the smooth operation of green channels for the inspection and quarantine of perishable goods, optimize the inspection and verification process of high-tech equipment, and accelerate the inspection and clearance of imported energy and mineral products and special items.
To facilitate cross-border trade, Guiyang Customs will support the expansion of convenient single window services for international trade. It will also support the construction of major cross-border channels such as the Guizhou-Guangdong transportation channel and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and give full play to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
It will also advance reforms to the supervision of enterprise group processing trade, support the development of bonded maintenance services in free trade zones, promote the healthy development of cross-border e-commerce, and deepen tax administration reforms.
In addition, it will enhance credit cultivation efforts, provide technical trade measure consultation services to assist enterprises in dealing with trade barriers, enhance protection of intellectual property rights for independent brands, and disclose more policies for companies.
