According to data released by the National Energy Administration, in the first half of the year, Yunnan province ranked third in the country for the scale of its newly added centralized photovoltaic (PV) installations connected to the grid.
On July 24, Yunnan province added 100,000 kilowatts of newly connected PV installations, bringing the total new PV installations for the year to 4,815,000 kilowatts. The overall PV installed capacity of the province now exceeds 10,065,000 kilowatts.
As of July 24, the total installed capacity of new energy in Yunnan province, including wind and photovoltaic (PV), has reached 22,364,000 kilowatts, accounting for 20.6 percent of the total installed capacity of dispatched power, surpassing the 20 percent mark.
