Marc Llistosella, chief executive officer of Germany-based Knorr-Bremse Group, visited Suzhou in East China's Jiangsu province on Aug 1 to seek further cooperation.
Llistosella expressed his gratitude to Suzhou authorities for their support, saying that Suzhou is blessed with complete supporting industrial facilities and a superior business environment and Suzhou New District is a hotspot for investment.
Knorr-Bremse values its presence in Suzhou and expects more cooperation and exchanges with the city, Llistosella noted.
Knorr-Bremse Group, based in Munich with more than 300 branches in over 30 countries, is the world's leading manufacturer of braking systems and a leading supplier of safety sub-systems for rail and commercial vehicles.
Since 2004, the group has established five companies in SND and last year put the R&D center of its commercial vehicle system and the Suzhou production base into operation in the district.
Currently, SND houses nearly 2,000 foreign-invested businesses, including about 100 German companies in high-end manufacturing, rail transit, auto parts, and medical devices.
