Due to strong demand for air travel during the summer rush, the number of ticket bookings for flights departing from Quzhou Airport during the summer travel season has doubled compared to 2019.
In 2019, 86 flights per week started or ended at Quzhou Airport and serviced 11 cities. There was a total of 3,604 flights throughout the year and a passenger throughput of 404,000.
In recent years, Quzhou has attached great importance to the development of civil aviation, bringing in airlines including Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines, and has launched strategic cooperation with China Express.
In 2020, Quzhou Airport introduced overnight capacity for the first time and gradually deployed three stationed aircraft, adding 17 new routes.
Quzhou Airport is currently linked with 25 cities, including more than 10 major cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
In 2023, Quzhou Airport has seen 248 takeoffs and landings per week. By the end of July, 6,136 flights had taken off from or landed at the airport, an increase of 224 percent over 2019 and 85 percent over 2022. The passenger throughput was 491,000, an increase of 146 percent over 2019 and 178 percent over 2022.
