Summer extravaganza staged in Xiliin Gol

The 33rd Inner Mongolia Tourism Nadam Festival kicked off in Xilinhot, Xiliin Gol League in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Sunday to promote traditional Chinese culture and establish itself as a nationally renowned tourism event.

Titled "Meet at the Grassland, Encounter Nadam", this year's festival features a range of activities, including traditional Nadam events, cultural and tourism activities, competitions and performances. A grand opening ceremony set the stage for the festivities to follow.

Highlights of the festival include the "three skills of Mongolian men": Bokh (wrestling), horse riding and archery. Visitors can also enjoy music, the China Supermodel Fashion Gala, the China Equestrian Competition, China Horse City Horse Racing and other exciting competitions and performances.
