The Consortium for Innovations in Agricultural Education and Research in Asia, initiated by Nanjing Agricultural University, was established in Sanya on July 17.
The consortium aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among agricultural universities and research institutions across Asia. It also aims to cultivate international talents in the agricultural field and to support sustainable agricultural development not only in Asia, but also globally.
A total of 52 universities and research institutions, including China Agricultural University, the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, and Bogor Agricultural University in Indonesia, have joined the consortium as founding members.
In the following two days, the 2023 Asian Hub Annual Meeting was held, focusing on topics such as "Water-Energy-Food Security," "Climate Change," and "Land Use, Land Cover, and Soil Research in Asia.”
