The Chinese capital's GDP reached 2.06 trillion yuan ($285.74 billion), with a year-on-year growth of 5.5 percent in the first half of this year, which means 2.4 percentage points higher than the growth of the first quarter this year, the statistics bureau of Beijing said on Wednesday.
The accumulative value of primary industries reached 4.13 billion yuan for the first half, down 4.6 percent year-on-year. The accumulative value of secondary industries was 286.64 billion yuan during the same period, down by 0.3 percent year-on-year.
The accumulative value of the service industry reached 1.77 trillion yuan, up by 6.6 percent year-on year, according to the bureau, which shows big growth compared with first quarter.
The statistics authority said the city will continue to make efforts on accelerating economic recovery and high-quality development. The city will maintain stable prices and keep on increasing the household income.
The overall economic recovery and development of the city is towards a positive trend with an improved efficiency, according to the bureau.
