Xi'an conducts trade promotion activities in Kazakhstan

A delegation of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, carried out a series of economic and trade exchange activities in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on July 15-17 to expand cooperation between Xi'an and Kazakhstan in areas such as connectivity, trade promotion, and cultural exchanges.

On July 17, the China (Xi'an)-Kazakhstan Enterprise Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Almaty, with over 70 people from Chinese and Kazakh enterprises attending.

Huang Qiang, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee and deputy mayor of Xi'an, expressed his hope in his speech that both sides will explore cooperation in economy, technology, culture, agriculture, and education to promote more substantial cooperation.

The Fu tea industry and culture Kazakhstan exchange center was unveiled at the conference.

During the visit to Almaty, the delegation also met with Jiang Wei, consul general of China in Almaty. It held discussions to introduce the development of Xi'an's foreign trade and economic development.

In addition, the delegation conducted inspections and research at the overseas warehouse of Xi'an Silk Road City Holding Co in Almaty, encouraging the enterprise to fully utilize the Xi'an-Almaty air route and the overseas warehouse and provide convenience for more cross-border e-commerce enterprises to expand internationally.

After visiting Kazakhstan, the delegation will promote trade in Spain and Italy on July 18-24.
