Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province has been driving the high-quality development of its agricultural industry production process, and has set a target of having the industry reach a size of 170 billion yuan ($23.72 billion) by 2025.
The entire agricultural industry production process encompasses various aspects, including agricultural research and development, production, processing, storage and transportation, sales, branding, experience, consumption, and service.
The city has been taking measures to construct a complete industrial chain for its agricultural sectors, including establishing standardized raw material bases, promoting the development of the agricultural product processing industry, and enhancing the systematic cold chain logistics network.
Moreover, Taizhou has been leveraging local characteristic industries, rural folk culture, traditional skills and natural ecological space to cultivate leisure tourism agriculture. By 2025, the comprehensive income generated from leisure tourism agriculture is projected to exceed 10 billion yuan.
