An airplane landed at Nantong Xingdong International Airport in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, at 4 pm on July 17, marking the official launch of flights to Yinchuan and Urumqi.
The flights to Yinchuan, operated by Tianjin Airlines, will depart from Nantong at 4:15 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday and at 6:25 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with flight times of three hours and two hours and 50 minutes. The return flights will depart Yinchuan at 1:00 pm and 3:15 pm respectively.
The flights to Urumqi will depart from Nantong at 4:15 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday and at 6:25 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with flight times of six hours and 40 minutes and six hours and 20 minutes. The return flights will depart Urumqi at 9:05 am and 11:40 am respectively.
The Xingdong airport started its summer vacation travel rush on July 1. To satisfy increasing travel demand, the airport has launched and resumed several flights, including those to Dalian, Yibin, and Guilin.
As of now, the airport has delivered 1.95 million passengers this year, an 8.9 percent year-on-year increase.
