China Security Valley in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, is an industrial cluster for cybersecurity enterprises and professionals.
It is expected to help foster the cybersecurity industry into a new growth engine for the city's future economic development.
The core area of China Security Valley is located in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, spanning an area of more than 20 hectares.
Supported by the provincial and municipal governments, the zone is beefing up efforts to expand China Security Valley.
The valley is now home to more than 150 cybersecurity companies, with an annual average growth rate of 20 percent in total industrial output.
Several advanced enterprises there, such as New H3C Group, a digital services provider, and QuantumCTek, one of China's main manufacturers of quantum key distribution devices, have experienced robust development.
A cybersecurity industrial chain spanning basic safety, safety products and services, as well as industrial applications has taken initial shape there.
In 2020, the cybersecurity industry in the zone achieved an industrial output of about 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion).
