Huoqiu Modern Industrial Park

Huoqiu Modern Industrial Park was jointly built by Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone (Hefei high-tech zone) and Huoqiu County. It was developed in accordance with the strategic plan of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to accelerate the sound and rapid development of north Anhui. On July 28, 2016, the Anhui government formally approved establishment of the Huoqiu Modern Industrial Park in the Hefei high-tech zone. 

The park is located in the northeast of the downtown area, east of Donghuan Road, south to Shuimentang Road, west to Binhe Road and north to Liaobei Road. The planned area is 28.79 sq km, including 8.8 sq km of constructed area. Almost 13 square km in the north of the park is reserved for future development. The first phase key projects includes the roads, a high-tech start-up park (including science and technology service center, standardized factory buildings and personnel apartments), as well as Shuimentang Landscape Park and Hefei No. 8 Middle School Huoqiu Campus. The sites and design plans of the projects have been completed, and 91,733 sq m of construction land has been approved.

The park boasts convenient transportation. The modern industrial park is the main development part, according to the county’s planning, and the main body of Huoqiu’s future New Town. It shares with the urban area in publically supporting services such as communication, power supply, water supply and drainage and gas. The park is close to the large-scale wetland reserves, the East Lake and the West Lake, forming an area along the two waters. The beautiful ecological environment is an unique symbol of the park. The eastern side of the park is adjacent to the planned Hefei-Huoqiu-Fuyang expressway, with entrances and exits in the park through which provincial roads S310 and S343 run. The planned Huaihe intercity railway has stations in the park. The park is only six kilometers away from the Huaikang and Laobatou shipping docks.

The park also has abundant social resources. It is located in a region with rich labor resources. The county has a population of 1.63 million, including an 800,000 strong labor force and 350,000 migrant workers working outside the county. The state-level vocational and technical school and Chenbu Vocational College can provide order-based training for enterprises. There are also enterprises providing a good industrial base, such as Shenhong Transformer Co, Kaidi Eco (Biomass Power Generation) and Huaanda Manufacturing Co.
