German WIKA increases investment in SND

Germany-based WIKA Instrument, LP recently inked a cooperation agreement with the government of Suzhou New District in East China's Jiangsu province to establish the second phase of its branch in the district.

WIKA Suzhou is further expanding its layout by establishing multiple product lines and introducing advanced production lines for semiconductor ultra-high purity pressure sensors, which are mainly used for measuring ultra-pure gases in the processing of wafers, filling a gap in localized production in China.

WIKA Suzhou will work to introduce more competitive advanced technologies to increase the competitiveness of its semiconductor supply chain and build WIKA's production base, functional headquarters, and research and development center in the Asian-Pacific region.

WIKA Instrument, LP is the leading global manufacturer of pressure and temperature measurement instrumentation. Established in 1997, WIKA Instrumentation (Suzhou) Co Ltd mainly produces and sells thermometers and pressure meters.

Liu Huangming, general manager of WIKA Instrument, LP China, thanked SND at the signing ceremony for its support and assistance. He noted that WIKA Suzhou is impressed by SND's strong business environment and supporting public services.

WIKA Suzhou plans to increase its capacity for scientific research and innovation to contribute to SND's modern industrial system, Liu added.

Overseas multinationals have been optimistic about SND in recent years. The district is currently home to nearly 2,000 businesses with foreign investment, including nearly 100 German-invested ones involving high-end manufacturing, auto parts, medical devices, and more.
