A special invited exhibition featuring Chinese original illustrations opened to great fanfare at the First Primary School of Nyima county in Nagchu city, Tibet autonomous region, on July 11.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Nyima county, the exhibition is sponsored by the China National Arts Fund, and curated by the Communication University of China and its School of Animation and Digital Arts.
During the grand opening, over 300 classic works of original Chinese comics, illustrations, graphic novels and picture books were displayed to the first group of visitors, consisting of more than 30 students from the art interest group of the school. These works will also be showcased in various schools throughout the county.
Nima County is located in the westernmost part of Nagqu city in northern Tibet autonomous region, with a land area of 75,500 square kilometers and an average elevation exceeding 4,800 meters. With a population of 35,000, the county was established in 1993.
