Districts and counties

With five districts of Zhangdian, Zichuan, Boshan, Zhoucun and Linzi, three counties of Huantai, Gaoqing and Yiyuan and Zibo High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Wenchang Lake Tourist Resort, Zibo covers a total area of 5,965 square kilometers and is located in the central of Shandong province.

Zhangdian district

Zhangdian district, located in the central area of Zibo, is the city's political, economic, cultural, financial and science and technology center.

Zichuan district

Zichuan district covers an area of 960 square kilometers in the urban area of Zibo.

Boshan district

Boshan district is honored as the famous region of pump industry, home to Chinese colored glaze, and the famous region of Shandong Cuisine.

Zhoucun district

Zhoucun district is the important base of textile industry in Shandong province.

Linzi district

Located adjacent to Qingzhou city in the east, Linzi district and Qingzhou city in the south, Zhangdian district and Huantai county in the west, Boxing county and Guangrao county in the north, Zichuan district is rich in high quality mineral resources including coal, iron, sulfur and other 20 kinds.

Huantai county

Huantai county is honored as the home to Chinese architecture and the land of fish and rice in the north.

Gaoqing county

Gaoqing county covers a total area of 830 sq km in Zibo.

Yiyuan county

Yiyuan county has jurisdiction over 10 towns, two sub-district offices, one provincial economic development zone and 633 administrative villages. It is the birthplace of ancient humans in Shandong province, the ecological highland on the roof of Shandong province, the hometown of karst caves in northern China.

Zibo High-tech Industrial Development Zone

Established in November 1992, Zibo High-tech Industrial Development Zone is one of the 53 national high-tech industrial zones in the country, covering an area of 121.13 sq km in the city.

Wenchang Lake Tourism Resort

Wenchang Lake Tourism Resort is 270 km to the east of Qingdao Port and Qingdao Liuting International Airport, and 75 km to the west of Jinan, the capital of Shandong province.
