A video conference on cross-regional cooperation was held between the foreign affairs office of the Taiyuan municipal government in the capital of North China's Shanxi province, and the city of Limoges in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, on July 12.
The head of the foreign affairs office of the Taiyuan municipal government briefly introduced the city's history, culture, industrial system, and development prospects, expressing hope for multi-sectoral exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
A representative from the International Cooperation Center of the Limoges government said that Limoges is an important industrial city and transportation hub in the central region of France.
He went on to highlight the areas ripe for synergistic benefits and win-win potential in terms of industrial development with Taiyuan, and outlined the prospects for collaboration and exchanges.
The two sides also exchanged views on cooperation on energy, technology, education, discussed projects in such areas as Sino-French energy innovation, an international carbon footprint certification center, and joint education programs, and communicated on the progress of promoting the construction of friendship cities.
