The first postcard set and souvenir envelopes marking Beijing's Central Axis were released in the capital on Saturday.
The ceremony also highlighted the establishment of the first post office themed on the Central Axis. It aims to introduce the heritage sites to the public through the postal service.
China Post Group's Beijing Branch, Beijing Central Axis Protection Foundation, and the committee of the Competition for the Transmission and Promotion of the Beijing Central Axis co-hosted the event.
According to Fan Xiaorong, deputy general manager of the China Post Group's Beijing Branch, the themed post office is rooted in cultural heritage while adapting to urban development, and will serve the public and raise awareness by designing and developing cultural merchandise related to the axis.
Starting from Saturday, the 2023 Competition for the Transmission and Promotion of the Beijing Central Axis is calling for entries on innovative postal products. Anyone interested in participating can apply on the competition's official webpage https://bjcac.bjaxiscloud.cn/.
