The New-generation Information Technology Industrial Park is in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province.
The park's site covers some 866 hectares. It has initially formed an industrial hub for chip designs, semiconductors device manufacturing, packaging and testing, as well as equipment and materials manufacturing. In the future, it will focus on integrated circuits designs, chip manufacturing and special equipment and materials, among other things.
To date, it has attracted 58 manufacturers above a designated size – those with an annual main business revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.94 million) or more – in the new-generation information technology sector.
A raft of leading manufacturers have located their operations there – including Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co Ltd, Tongfu Microelectronics Co Ltd and TOWA (Nantong) Co Ltd.
Last year, the total taxable revenue of the park was 33.1 billion yuan. In addition, there were 44 municipal, provincial and national-level research and development institutions operating there.
The NETDA provides administrative fee reductions and exemptions, tax reductions and exemptions, land supply, temporary offices, residential apartments and dormitories to enterprises and personnel that choose to work and base themselves there.
