Yanhu village in Hanjiang district, Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, known for its many delicacies and pleasant scenery, is one of the best retreats in the city for those seeking reprieve from the summer heat. 

Located along Shaobo Lake, the village boasts stunning views of the sunrise and sunset. 

In addition to stunning views of nature, the village also boasts a vibrant nightlife featuring a camp site where visitors can take part in activities such as concerts, campfire parties and outdoor movie screenings.

Those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city can choose to spend a few nights at a charming homestay in the village. 

Those with kids can take them on a study tour in the village, where the Yangzhou Fishery Culture Museum was opened to the public in October 2020. 

The village, dubbed "the most charming fishing village in China", is a national key village for rural tourism. Here, tourists can experience local fishery customs and enjoy local delicacies such as crayfish, a popular summer snack that goes well with ice-cold beer.
