Jining introduces cultural travel routes for overseas visitors

The culture and tourism bureau of Jining in East China's Shandong province recently launched three travel routes themed on "Find Chinese Culture in Jining" for overseas tourists to learn more about the city's profound culture and stunning landscape.

Tour to Confucius' hometown

During the tour to Confucius' hometown, tourists can visit the family mansions of Confucius and Mencius — well-known ancient Chinese philosophers — and learn the Liuyi (Six Arts), which are rites, music, archery, chariotry, calligraphy, and mathematics. Visitors will also get to savor a Confucius family feast and live in a Confucianism themed hotel. Watch the video to learn more!

Study trip on Confucian classics

The study trip on Confucian classics allows tourists to gain a deeper understanding on Confucianism by taking them to major Confucian sites, such as the Confucius Museum and the Nishan Sacred Land. Visitors can also experience a traditional coming-of-age ceremony.
