In recent years, Kaihua county in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has been taking advantage of the development of the e-commerce industry and has built e-commerce platforms such as the Dajiankang Digital Economy Industrial Park.
Dajiankang Digital Economy Industrial Park started operating in 2020. It is currently home to 55 main e-commerce companies selling maternal and children's products, clothing, fishing gear and various ornaments.
The park has created a complete industrial chain that integrates incubation, sales and logistics services for e-commerce companies. More than 40,000 deliveries are sent out from the park every day.
Quzhou Ciyuan Shidai Network Technology Co Ltd, which has been operating in the industrial park for three years, mainly sells maternal and children's products and focuses on online sales.
The company sells products on multiple e-commerce sales platforms, including Taobao, Pinduoduo and Douyin. Its annual sales have exceeded 100 million yuan ($13.8 million). "The logistics here are convenient, and there is a cloud storage base with complete infrastructure that provides enough development space for the company," said Yan Jie, the company's general manager.
Data shows that in 2022, Kaihua's online retail sales reached 3.35 billion yuan, a growth rate of 37.7 percent, ranking first in the city.
To date, Kaihua's e-commerce industry has provided jobs for more than 1,300 people and increased their incomes by a total of more than 33 million yuan.
