The spring roll is a seasonal dim sum of Wuxi. To make spring rolls, first, you need to add some water and salt to the flour and make the batter by mixing and kneading them together. Put some batter onto a pan and spread it out until it forms round.
Then, you can fill the wrapper with ready-made ingredients such as minced pork, sweet bean paste or lard with vegetables. Fold in two sides of the wrapper for a closed-end spring roll and wrap it into a long roll before they are deep-fried.
It is ready to serve when the spring rolls are turning golden yellow. With thin and crisp wrappers as well as delicious and soft fillings, spring rolls are known as savory seasonal snacks for spring time.
