Zhoushan's business environment earns provincial recognition

Zhoushan's efforts to advance the standardization of its oil and gas industry were listed among the provincial top 10 practices to optimize the business environment, the Communist Party of China Zhejiang Provincial Committee recently announced.

The assessment was conducted based on five indicators – government services, market regulations, law enforcement, ecological environment, and humanistic climate.

Authorities have rolled out 17 measures aimed at streamlining approval procedures, setting up digital management systems, and developing standard regulations and mechanisms.

Specifically, 11 government agencies including market supervision, public security, the commerce bureau and tax agencies now provide coordinated services that greatly reduce the time and costs of enterprises when registering businesses.

Authorities have also developed eight digital application scenarios covering supervision, market access, and enterprise management and released 16 institutions and norms to strengthen the management of oil and gas enterprises.

Oil and gas enterprises' sustainable and healthy development will be vital to the city's economic growth in terms of GDP, wholesale and retail, and imports and exports, said local authorities.

Authorities will continue efforts to implement these measures and make sure the supervision services will be effective and will provide Zhoushan experience in the oil and gas trade to other areas in the country.
