Guiyang, Indonesia discuss trade and business cooperation

Ma Ningyu, deputy secretary of the CPC Guiyang Committee and mayor of Guiyang, led a delegation to Jakarta, Indonesia from June 12 to 13, where he met with Abdul Alek Soelystio, chairman of the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, and discussed trade relations between the two regions.

During the visit, Ma introduced Guiyang's current economic and social development situation. He highlighted the long-standing history of friendly relations between China and Indonesia, stating that China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for the past 10 years.

Furthermore, trade between Guiyang and Indonesia maintained strong growth in 2022. He hopes that, with the strong support of the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, cooperation between Guiyang and Indonesia can expand in areas such as trade, digital economy, culture, and tourism.

Ma invited Indonesian entrepreneurs to visit Guiyang and attend international events such as the Big Data Expo, Eco Forum Global Guiyang, and China-ASEAN Culture and Tourism Exchange Week to explore potential cooperation opportunities and promote economic development.

Abdul Alek Soelystio said that the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will promote communication and exchanges between Indonesian enterprises and Guiyang and facilitate further cooperation.

He hopes that more government departments and entrepreneurs from Guiyang can visit Indonesia to explore business opportunities and encourage Guiyang's outstanding enterprises to invest in Indonesia.
