The total amount of direct procurement, financing, industrial collaboration and investment agreements during the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair has exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion), helping greatly promote exchanges and cooperations among global SMEs, according to the event's organizers.
The fair resumed its offline exhibition for the first time since the global COVID-19 pandemic, also helping to enhance confidence in the development of global SMEs, according to Yang Shupeng, deputy director of the secretariat department of the fair's organizing committee.
The four-day event concluded on Friday in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, with the participation of more than 2,000 domestic and overseas companies.
At the international zone of the fair, over 300 companies from more than 40 countries and regions displayed their innovative products and technologies.
"The fair has helped promote better promotion of SMEs into global industrial, value and supply chains and boost their confidence in specialized and innovative development," Yang said.
Emerging industries including equipment manufacturing, electronic information, biopharmaceutical and medical devices, food and agricultural products, new materials and new energy have been highlighted, with intended cooperation amount in these industries reaching about 65 million yuan during the fair.
