NANJING -- A group of 12 medical personnel from Cambodia has joined a 20-day professional training program in east China's Jiangsu Province.
The training, which started on Wednesday, is conducted in a combination of intensive teaching by renowned specialists and on-site visits mainly in the cities of Nanjing and Wuxi, said Bao Jun, deputy director of the Jiangsu provincial health commission.
The team will visit health authorities, large hospitals, community health service centers, medical universities, and medical innovation enterprises, Bao said.
Seng Nong, director of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital in Cambodia, said that this training is of great significance and a good opportunity for them to learn the latest skills and experience in the area of public health in China.
Jiangsu and Cambodia have close cooperation in the health sector. Health authorities in Jiangsu have dispatched medical teams to Cambodia since 2015, treating more than 20,000 local people and employees of Jiangsu enterprises in Cambodia.
