Taizhou enhances nursing, medical services

Taizhou has in recent years made significant strides in integrating nursing with medical services through collaborations between the civil affairs bureau, the health commission, the social welfare center, and the Taizhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This cooperation has led to the extension of services in several key areas.

In the past, medical and nursing services in the city were primarily focused on children in the social welfare center.

However, there are now plans to expand these services to children throughout the city.

New services, including medical consultations and personalized traditional Chinese medicine therapies such as moxibustion, cupping, scraping and massage, will also be made available to the elderly.

Service resources will also be enhanced as the Taizhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine will bring high-quality medical resources to local grassroots units. This would ensure that elderly individuals and vulnerable children in the city have access to increased medical care and rehabilitation guidance.

Li Xinmei, the director of the municipal civil affairs bureau, said that the bureau will further integrate medical care with other institutions and home community care.
