Pudong New Area has launched a series of events aimed at attracting talents from universities. The inaugural event, titled "A Trip to Pudong for Young University Talents from London", commenced on June 26.
Thirty exceptional students hailing from prestigious UK institutions such as Cambridge University and Imperial College London embarked on a three-day visit that marked the beginning of this year's efforts to draw talent from both domestic and international sources.
During the event, representatives from various organizations introduced the overall landscape and industrial development of Pudong, along with the latest talent policies. Notably, Pudong Talent Development signed a cooperative agreement with university associations to further promote its talent station.

Luo Shulei, a Ph.D. student from Imperial College London, expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting how it bridges the gap between overseas students and high-quality enterprises in Pudong. Luo emphasized the opportunities for career growth and entrepreneurship that Pudong offers, stating, "Pudong provides a launching pad for our dreams and a vast stage to showcase our talents."
The event itinerary includes visits to prominent institutions such as the Shanghai Futures Exchange, and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, as well as tours of industrial parks in Pudong. These visits provide participants with insights into the latest developments and innovation ecosystem in the area.
This summer, a one-month summer internship program will commence. With nearly 30 top enterprises in Pudong providing internship positions for top university talents, participants can gain practical experience, receive guidance on career planning, and benefit from industry experts' invaluable insights.
