The Qingdao area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or Qingdao FTZ, is currently in the midst of a campaign to optimize its business environment to attract more foreign investment.
The local government has been exploring ways to widen market access, simplify approval procedures, and optimize approval services. It has also implemented measures such as upgrading its registration platform.
The area's Enterprise Registration Intelligent Integration Platform has been praised for making it more convenient for people to set up foreign-funded enterprises. An employee from Shandong Shengqiang Ruixiang Energy Co Ltd said that it took less than two hours to complete the process through the platform. Previously, applicants needed to spend much time and effort traveling back and forth and mailing materials from abroad.
Continuous optimization of foreign registration services and approval processes has effectively reduced the time to establish an enterprise in the zone. Today, it possible to complete all registration procedures in less than half a working day.
