Taiyuan ranks among top 50 new energy cities in China

Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, has ranked among the top 50 on the list of Hurun China New Energy Cities in 2023 announced by Hurun Inc. 

For cities, the new energy industry is an important engine to promote regional economic transformation and sustainable development. The degree to which new energy companies have been gathered reflects the pros and cons of urban innovation capabilities and the industrial environment, and also directly affects their development potential and competitiveness. 

The evaluation process behind this list is based on the information about the agglomeration of high-quality new energy enterprises, small and medium-sized new energy enterprises, and new energy investment popularity in all provincial-level cities, sub-provincial cities, and prefecture-level cities across the country. 

Taiyuan ranked 50th with a comprehensive index score of 65.6 points. Specifically, its new energy high-quality enterprise agglomeration index stands at 60 points, while the new energy SME agglomeration index is 65 points, and the new energy investment popularity index is 72 points.
