The East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) recently launched policies to reward and subsidize digital economy operators and companies with core technologies in a bid to further optimize its business environment.
Applications for rewards and subsidies opened on June 25 and will close on July 14.
Digital economy operators will be awarded in eight specific circumstances, including when they agree to set up headquarters in the valley, their financing scale reaches a certain standard, or they agree to set up operations in the China (Hubei) Internet Audio-Visual Industrial Base or digital economy industrial base at the valley.
Companies that have made breakthroughs in core technologies will also be granted nine types of subsidies for entrepreneurship, investment, talent, R&D, key equipment making, and artificial intelligence projects.
Units applying for the aforementioned rewards and subsidies can register at the official website of the valley's enterprise innovation scoring system, fill out the relevant documents and upload all electronic supporting materials needed before the deadline.
