Hefei high-tech zone streamlines its business ecosystem

The business ecosystem is being streamlined in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone – located in Hefei, capital city of East China's Anhui province – and it's already making a big difference.

One of the grateful beneficiaries is manufacturer Hefei IC Valley Microelectronics Co Ltd, which on June 20 received all four certificates necessary for construction of its planned microwave device and module plant – which means the project can commence work some 40 days ahead of the agreed start date.

The 55-mu (3.67 hectares) project has a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan ($152.44 million) and is located in the zone at the northeast corner of Dalongshan Road and Chang'an Road.

It follows in the wake of the Hefei high-tech zone introducing an efficient and streamlined system for project approvals. This included detailed plans for project screening, the declaration process and for approvals.

What's more, the Hefei high-tech zone has also provided great support for its resident businesses. These include forest land indicators for site selection and pre-services that occupy enterprises during preliminary work – including fence construction and coordination with various departments to obtain green channels for a project.

Known as the China Speech Valley and Quantum Center, Hefei high-tech zone has ranked in the top 10 among the 169 national high-tech zones in China for nine consecutive years. It's striving to build itself into a world-class high-tech zone.
