Tai'an in East China's Shandong province is a popular tourist destination because it is home to Mount Tai, a famous mountain that is considered the cradle of Tai Chi.
To enhance the quality of tourism and attract more tourists, the Tai'an government released a tourism discount package on June 16.
Visitors who purchase this package will enjoy discounts for tickets to Mount Tai and its cableway, as well as other attractions in the area, according to Zhu Li, director of Tai'an municipal bureau of culture and tourism, at a news conference.
The package comprises eight tourist activities that include climbing Mount Tai and Culai Mountain to appreciate the breathtaking mountains and rivers, enjoying hot springs, and experiencing the recreation of a grand ceremony that ancient emperors used to be a part of.
To ensure tourists have access to the latest and most advanced services, the local government will regularly update its package deals. This may include offering larger discounts on tickets, lodging, dining, and transportation.
