A cultural activity in celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 22 this year, was recently held in Xinwu district in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province.
During the activity, a number of booths were set up for participants to experience the festival's customs such as making zongzi, a kind of glutinous rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves, and learn about intangible cultural heritage items such as Huishan Clay Figurines and paper-cutting.
The activity is part of a program launched by Xinwu district and Wangzhuang sub-district aimed at promoting traditional Chinese culture.
