The 32nd Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair officially opened in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on June 15.
The theme of this year's fair is "Building a New Platform for High-level Opening-up and Sharing New Opportunities for High-quality Development".
The fair is designed to have a total exhibition area of 360,000 square meters, including a main venue of 60,000 square meters set up at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Sports Center.
The main venue of the exhibition has four halls. The common theme throughout is "interaction."
The ice and snow economy exhibition hall cannot be missed.
It sets up five main sections, including ice and snow equipment, ice and snow tourism, ice and snow culture, ice and snow sports, and Olympic themes.
The equipment section showcases a variety of products. The tourism section displays distinctive ice and snow tourism products and related cultural and creative products.
Meanwhile, the ice and snow culture section interprets the charm of this through ethnic groups’ unique costumes and dance performances specific to Heilongjiang province.
The ice and snow sports section immerses visitors in the unique charm of Heilongjiang’s ice and snow sports through panoramic and interactive installations of digital skiing competitions, enhancing the overall interest in the exhibition area.
The Olympic theme section showcases Heilongjiang's honors and achievements as a winning province in Olympic ice and snow projects.
At the launch event, Olympic champions appeared in person to demonstrate Heilongjiang's ice and snow strength as a resource-rich province.
Not far from the ice and snow economy hall is the "Design Palace" hall.
It has "creative design" as its core, "new era, new creativity, and new design" as its theme, and five large sections including a "classic design exhibition area," "famous design awards exhibition area," "creative design boutique exhibition area," and "cultural boutique exhibition area."
Across from the Design Palace hall is the digital economy exhibition area, which leads to the biological economy exhibition hall.
That showcases a series of major breakthroughs achieved in eight major biological technology engineering projects such as genetic engineering, stem cell engineering, biological computing engineering, and regenerative medical engineering by leading biological economy enterprises and research institutes within the province.
