The International Hydrogen Energy Valley in Lin-gang Special Area was showcased at the Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements, which took place from June 11-14.
Spanning 1.55 square kilometers, the International Hydrogen Energy Valley serves as the core hub for the hydrogen energy industry in the area. The valley has to date attracted over 30 companies involved in the hydrogen energy industry chain and has a comprehensive ecosystem comprising companies that produce hydrogen fuel vehicles, engine systems, key components, and related products.
The park has been actively developing various hydrogen-powered applications such as heavy trucks and commuter buses that possess sustainable conversion capabilities as part of efforts to become a prominent hydrogen energy application hub.
As of the end of 2022, the first oil-hydrogen dual-fueling station and the first pure hydrogen refueling station in Lin-gang was put into operation. By 2025, the scale of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle industry in Lin-gang is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion).
The park has also launched the hydrogen energy industry development fund and established the Shanghai Hydrogen Energy Standardization Technical Committee to support technological innovation and facilitate the development of the hydrogen energy industry.
