Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province held a culture and tourism consumption season event on June 14.
The event was aimed at offering young people new ways to explore Yangzhou, according to authorities.
Seven study tour routes and 126 cultural and tourism activities were revealed under the banner Summer in Yangzhou, a campaign launched by the local government to boost cultural and tourism consumption in summer.
The campaign is named after a renowned piece of prose Summer in Yangzhou by Zhu Ziqing, a famous Chinese writer from Yangzhou.
Art performances featuring Yangzhou's culture and history were also staged at the launch ceremony.
According to authorities, the activities include fairs, music, local delicacies, and competitions.
Gu Hongxia, deputy director of the city's bureau of culture, radio, film, television and tourism, said that more activities featuring local culture would be rolled out to stimulate cultural and tourism consumption.
