In the mid-1940s, many famous Peking Opera masters, such as Mei Lanfang, Cheng Yanqiu, Li Shaochun, Ma Lianliang, performed here, making it one of the favored Peking Opera stages. It was put into operation again after reconstruction in 2018.
The top of the stage is made of black wooden flooring of Oregon pine, which is a single-layer two-way keel structure with 3 millimeters of black rubber on the top. The stage is 20 meters wide, with a maximum depth of 15 meters and a height of 18.5 meters.
It is equipped with an orchestra lift, and there is a subtitle machine on both sides of the theater’s first and second floors.
