Taiyuan to upgrade consumer goods market system

Shanxi province recently issued its 2023 plan for how to develop its consumer goods market system. 

The move aims to further stimulate businesses in the consumer goods market while enhancing the quality and efficiency of the market.

The plan proposes promoting the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce, supporting cross-border retail import enterprises focused on health products and high-end cosmetics in the Wusu Comprehensive Bonded zone in the provincial capital of Taiyuan, and building a cross-border e-commerce imported product display and experience center in Taiyuan. 

The province also plans to advance the upgrading of Bell Tower Street in Taiyuan into a national demonstration pedestrian street, and promote the national pilot construction of a 15-minute convenient living service circle in the city.
