Tongzhou district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been striving to build itself a modern integrated transportation hub in recent years.
According to local authorities, Tongzhou has established a robust transportation network encompassing railways, elevated roads, metro lines, and highways.
The improved transportation infrastructure in Tongzhou has attracted many companies, including Alpha Ess Co Ltd, an energy storage solution and service provider.
Thanks to the well-connected transportation network in Tongzhou, Alpha Ess is now available in over 70 countries and regions worldwide, according to Yuan Hongliang, a spokesman of the company.
Yuan added that the company achieved significant sales growth compared to the previous year despite the severe pandemic situation abroad.
Pinchao town in Tongzhou has also actively utilized the transportation advantages around the Nantongxi Railway Station to enhance its industrial development.
Efforts have been made to attract corporate headquarters and software service outsourcing industries and develop the science and technology innovation industry.
Looking ahead, Tongzhou will accelerate work on key projects such as the S19 Nantong-Wuxi Expressway, 226 Provincial Road, and the realignment of the Nantong-Yangzhou Canal to improve the transportation network.
