North China's Shanxi province will promote upgrading the hydrogen energy industry chain and the current year's clean, low-carbon, and green transformation of the energy structure.
This year, the province will accelerate the construction of hydrogen refueling stations and use the existing infrastructure to build oil, gas, hydrogen, and electricity-integrated refueling stations.
It plans to study and carry out demonstration projects of hydrogen production from renewable energy power in Shuozhou city, fully use industrial by-products to produce hydrogen and realize nearby consumption in industrial parks and industrial clusters of Taiyuan, Lyuliang, and Changzhi cities.
Shanxi will carry out the demonstrative application of the hydrogen energy industry. Industrial parks with fixed driving lines and high operation capacity in Taiyuan, Lyuliang, Linfen, and Shuozhou will pilot the transportation of hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks. Taiyuan, Lyuliang, and Datong will pilot fuel cell commercial vehicles such as urban buses and logistics distribution vehicles. Shanxi will promote the application of low-carbon metallurgical technologies such as hydrogen metallurgy.
Focusing on primary materials, core equipment, and advanced processes, the province will research key core technologies in renewable energy hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and transportation, and fuel cells.
It will support enterprises in forming innovation consortiums with universities and research institutes and participating in or undertaking national key special projects. It will establish key laboratories, engineering research centers, enterprise technology centers, and pilot-scale experimental bases to accelerate the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
