Chinese AI pioneer iFlytek, which is based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone – located in Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province – has received a new accolade.
It's been named the joint leader of the Big Model Working Group at the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, for the evaluation of key AI technologies and applications.

That means iFlytek will take part in constructing the Big Model Standard System 2.0, led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology or CAICT, a research institute under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The company's AI learning machine, Intelligent Office Book, and its Intelligent RPA – or robotic process automation, an advanced form of software technology – were also designated excellent application cases for the Big Model by the CAICT.
That's according to details released at the sub-forum of the Big Model Technology Application, at the Hangzhou General Artificial Intelligence Forum and the AIIA Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Conference. The event was held on May 30-31 in Hangzhou city, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.
Speakers in the sub-forum recognized iFlytek as the joint leader of the Big Model Working Group with the Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with fellow tech frontrunners Huawei and Baidu.
iFlytek's AI learning machine corrects essays like a teacher and creates real-life conversations like a speaking teacher. Its Intelligent Office Book automatically generates meeting minutes based on handwritten points, improving office efficiency.
Its "Big Model + RPA" applies natural language to generate business processes and RPA, enabling employees to complete tasks efficiently.
